TPM(Third-Party Maintenance)

Third-Party Maintenance (TPM) is a concept in which a company receives maintenance and support services for IT infrastructure, hardware, or other equipment from an independent external company other than the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer). TPM mainly targets IT hardware such as servers, storage, and network equipment, and is utilized when equipment that has ended manufacturer support or when maintenance costs are to be reduced.

Based on our experience in building and maintaining various IT infrastructures, Vgate provides services as third-party maintenance for IBM, HP, HUAWEI, CISCO, etc. TPM is a cost-effective alternative that plays an important role in continuously operating customers' IT infrastructures, and is a useful option for companies that need to use equipment after the expiration of their OEM contracts or that aim to reduce costs.

Key Concepts and Benefits

  • Independent vendors provide maintenance instead of OEMs
Usually, equipment manufacturers (OEMs) provide maintenance and technical support only for a certain period of time. However, when that period is over or the manufacturer’s maintenance costs are too high, companies can receive the same maintenance services from third-party vendors.
  • Cost savings
Third-party maintenance provides maintenance services at an average cost of 30% to 70% lower than OEM services. This is one of the reasons why many companies choose third-party vendors for cost savings.
  • Extend the life of equipment after OEM support ends
hird-party vendors can continue to provide maintenance services for equipment or technologies that are no longer supported by the manufacturer. This can extend the life of the equipment.
  • Support for equipment from multiple manufacturers
Third-party vendors are not limited to equipment from a specific manufacturer, but can provide integrated support for various hardware and equipment from multiple manufacturers. This makes them the optimal solution for companies operating a multi-vendor environment.
  • lexible service contracts
Unlike OEMs, third-party maintenance offers more flexible contracts depending on the customer’s needs. Customers can set up customized maintenance plans according to their needs, and can also request maintenance only for specific equipment or parts.
  • 24/7 technical support and rapid response
ost third-party vendors provide technical support 24/7, ensuring rapid response in case of problems, minimizing downtime for businesses.
